Three Ways You Know Your Personal Development is Creating a Shift
Hello and welcome to Living Right with Bill Cortright Blog with Bill Cortright. It has been a few weeks now since launching the new podcast and company. Recently I talked about the shift I went through while transitioning into my next stage of life. I wanted to blog on what it has felt like and the real changes that I have noticed. These changes are not small little changes they are considerable shifts that make me stop and pause.
Let me give some background so you may understand what the heck I am talking about. I have been working within the personal development field for 30-years and have been a coach for over 20. I have developed techniques that are designed to help people shift the conscious or energy they live in. When this happens all aspects of the individual’s life changes. I call this “Shift Coaching.”
Once you understand that we all have predominate states that we live in this coaching will not sound weird or metaphysical. It is quite scientific. The state you predominantly live in is made up from the sum of the beliefs you hold within the subconscious mind. This state is determining the actions you will or will not take. It also determines the situations you attract or will not attract into your life. It is precise and it is a law. Change these beliefs (programs) and you change the state and everything is shifted. (I know but I am really quite normal)
So, what does it feel like when you experience a shift? Here is the challenge in all types of personal growth, you will not know that you have changed. If you are really working on personal development you can make a shift and have no idea that you have shifted…until something profound happens and you react completely out of character to the way you handled similar situations in the past. By releasing a program (changing a habit, releasing a belief) you remove it from the subconscious cage so it is no longer activated and no longer becomes conscious. You can be coaching and making incredible progress and be clueless, until something happens and you react completely different.
Since my personal shift, I have had significant changes happen in my physical, mental and spiritual arenas. First physically I have seen the weights I am lifting increase at such a rate that at 55-years-old I am lifting as much weight as I did in my mid-thirties. This increase has been effortless and seems to be just happening. Second, mentally my mind is very quiet. I went a week without my EGO Barry speaking at all. I find that I can learn new skills, skills such as technology with ease. In the past technology froze me and caused me to be tethered to others to do my work. This is no longer true. Third, Spiritually, I am able to meditate deeper without effort. But, that is not the big shift the big shift is the ability to stay present and let go of the want of control. Just a couple of months ago my current life situation would have pushed me to crazy town as I would try to control every single element.
It is important to understand a couple of things when it comes to a shift. First, there is no way to make change in our lives unless we work at it. Because of the Tribalization programming we inherit beliefs from our tribe and these become programs to keep us within the said tribe. Second, when you are diligent at working on growth and personal development the results will be a change of state. When this happens you no longer need willpower. In other words, these changes I am experiencing are effortless. I am
not trying to be calm, positive, present, I just am. That is the state. We all live in a state. Personal development or death are the only ways to change these states.
Three Ways You Know Your Personal Development is Creating a Shift
1.People start commenting to you on a regular basis that you are different somehow. New hairstyle? New outfit? Did you lose weight? Something is different. This is a sure sign
2. Something happens and you have a completely different reaction that you would have had in the past. When this happens to my clients they are shocked. In the past, they would have exploded and now they are in a calm state. They then start paying closer attention and realize the shift happened.
3. You feel happier, lighter and more peace. This makes me laugh when a client is confused by the feelings of being happier without anything really taking place. They are so used to living in a lower state they thought being miserable was normal, its not.
